James Andrew “Andy” Schomburg and Kimberly Lynn Baker were married at 2:30 p.m. July 11, 2007, at Grace United Methodist Church, Kokomo, by Jason Varner, friend of groom. A reception followed at Rozzi’s Continental Ballroom, Kokomo.
James is the son of Gary and Sue Schomburg, Miamisburg, Ohio. He graduated from Miamisburg High School, Miamisburg, Ohio, in 2000 and from Anderson University in 2004 with a degree in elementary education. He is employed by the Chicago Public School System.
Kimberly is the daughter of Pete and Phyllis Baker, Kokomo. She graduated from Grand Blanc High School, Grand Blanc, Mich., in 2001 and from Michigan State University in 2005 with a major in communication and dance and a minor in sociology. She is employed at Chicago Park District Southshore Cultural Center.
The matrons of honor were Cassie McKillip, cousin of bride, and Lisa Nelson, friend of bride; bridesmaids were Nancy Veltama, Colleen Nelsen, Gwen Tretheway and Ashley Ford, friends of bride; flower girl was Sophia McKillip, cousin of bride; best men were Scott Schomburg, brother of groom, and Steve Jeryk, friend of groom; groomsmen were Bryce Anslinger, Kyle Perkins and Tony Vitale, friends of groom, and Paul Baker, brother of bride; ushers were J.R. Grulke, friend of bride, Jim Morski, friend of bride and groom, and Sean Chadwell and Stephen Scarborough, friends of groom; and ringbearer was Jackson McKillip, cousin of the bride.
After a wedding trip to Tamarindo, Costa Rica, the couple resides in Chicago.
