A Miami County fire sent one person to the hospital, via air ambulance, with severe burns and smoke inhalation Monday. The fire in the 1900 block of West on 1050 South in the community of Miami was mostly contained to a camper parked on the side of the house, though there was some damage to the garage. Pipe Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded with assistance from Galveston VFD and Grissom Fire Department.
