Adults and teens are invited to the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library’s Monster Movie Marathon from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Main Branch, 220 N. Union St.

A fish fry is planned for 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Green Acres Golf Course Clubhouse, 1300 Green Acres Drive. Tickets for the meal are $10 for adults, $5 for children 11 and younger.

INDIANAPOLIS — Retail services at post offices throughout Indiana will be closed Oct. 14 in recognition of Columbus Day. Regularly scheduled mail delivery, post office box and caller services also will be suspended for the holiday.

More than 400 residents from the Kokomo-area joined the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Jackson Morrow Park on Sept. 28. Participants raised $83,671, far exceeding the Greater Indiana Chapter’s goal of $69,250.
