The Nebraska-based Whiskey Creek Franchise System has announced it will locate its first Indiana restaurant in Kokomo.

During the next five years, the steakhouse announced it will open a minimum of three restaurants in the state.

The Kokomo location will open in August at the U.S. 31 location that was once home to Ryan’s Steakhouse.

It will be owned by Craig Harts, of Kokomo. Harts has been in the restaurant business for more than 25 years and currently owns nine Subway restaurants. The restaurant will be managed by Jeremy Wilkinson, of Kokomo, who has been in the hospitality industry for 14 years.

Whiskey Creek Wood Fired Grill features grilled menu items cooked over a hardwood fire of oak and ash. The restaurant’s famous wood-fired grill combined with Whiskey Creek’s own seasonings and sauces gives meals an unique and distinctive flavor.

The menu offers steak, barbecue, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, salads and 50-plus flavors of margaritas.

The company’s beef is raised in the U.S.
