Spotter Chris Ramberger, right, hugs Dan DeLong, Tri Central School Board member, who was part of the bidding war for the Anne Marie Budenz-Bailey Tree of Hope, made by the Tri Central Middle School Student Council for the We Care tree auction on Sunday. The tree was in memory of Budenz-Bailey, assistant principal for Tri-Central Middle/High School, who passed away from cancer in 2014. DeLong didn’t end up winning the tree, but was part of causing the tree to go for $3,800.
