Mark Lantz of Greentown sends this Jeer for Americans’ value of human life:
“I’m so glad America is finally focused on the tragic destruction of innocent human life, which happened in Florida. It is absolutely atrocious one human could destroy the lives and families of so many people in one day.
“It must make reasonable people wonder that the fact 177 other people who were also killed in Florida that same day should also garner so much attention. Did they get a presence with the state legislature? The Congress? The president of the United States?
“As inconceivable as the Parkland murders were, it certainly brings to light the hypocrisy America has on how we value human life. It is all too obvious (if we are willing to really look) that these terrible incidents shed a bright light on how bigoted we are with our human family and how much we truly place various values on people.
“It is absolutely atrocious what happened in Parkland, Florida. It is equally atrocious we allow 3,700 unborn babies be killed each day in this country.
“When we put such a national focus on the students killed in Florida, yet ignore the unborn that were also killed that day (and every other day), reasonable people must be compelled to consider there is a deeper, more serious problem that hopefully can be addressed within our American culture. All innocent life that is killed is worthy of action to protect it from ever happening again.”
