What’s in a name? Some interesting things, as it turns out — more than meets the eye — and the following people all had one particular thing in common.

Connie Mack, Christy Mathewson, Sherry Magee, “Beauty” Bancroft, Judy Johnson, Barbra O’Neil Chrisley, Carroll Hardy, Faye Throneberry — were athletes; Joy Wheeler Dow was an architect who practiced in Wyoming, Pennsylvania, just north of Wilkes-Barre; Joyce Kilmer was a writer and poet ... “I think her tiny still feet know beautiful paths”, written about the Kilmer’s baby daughter stricken with poliomyelitis; Kimberley Rew was a member of the rock band Katrina and the Waves; Shirlee Wilson was a graduate of Eastern High School, Class of 1956.

And what was the one particular thing that this diverse group all had in common?

They were all men.
