Convicted felon returning to jail
A former Kokomo man completed a three-year Ohio prison term for robbery Friday and is on his way back to Howard County to face prosecution on several felony charges.
Sheriff Marty Talbert left Kokomo Friday to pick up Shane Halton, 26, formerly of the 2400 block of Pinehurst Lane, at the London, Ohio, Correctional Facility, where he is set to be released.
Halton is wanted on four Howard County felony warrants for failure to appear for Class B felony residential burglary and three Howard Circuit Court warrants for failure to appear for two counts of Class C felony robbery, petition to revoke bond for two counts of class C felony robbery, one Class D felony count of possession of a controlled substance, and a Class A misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated endangering a person, according to court records.

Police recovered evidence inside Halton’s residence linking him to the robberies. Halton has waived extradition. He will be held without bail upon his return to the Howard County jail.
