Purdue basketball star Carsen Edwards on Sunday announced he will bypass his senior season.
“For as long as I can remember, it has been a dream to play in the NBA,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “I feel that the time is now. I will be entering the 2019 NBA Draft with an agent. This is the beginning of a new journey and I am thankful for everyone’s support and I’m ready for the next chapter in my life.”
Edwards had a big 2018-19 season in leading Purdue to a share of the Big Ten championship and its first Elite Eight appearance since 2000. He was a consensus All-American.
